How it works
If you meet entry criteria for Express Entry Pool, i.e. meeting minimum criteria for one of three federal skilled worker programs, you will than take following two steps:
Step 1 – Complete Express Entry Profile
You will complete online Express Entry profile providing following key information about you and your spouse:
- work experience,
- language ability,
- education, and
- other details that will help us assess them.
If you do not already have job offer supported by Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), you will also have to submit your profile to Canada’s Job Bank, and other job connecting web sites. The job bank and other job sites will help to connect you with potential employers in Canada, who may offer you job offer. If your profile matches with potential Canadian employer or any employer provided you with LMIA, you will have chances of obtaining invitation to apply for Canada PR.
Step 2 – Comprehensive ranking and invitation to apply
If you are ranked highest against other candidates in express entry pool using the point-based system as given in Comprehensive Ranking System, then you will be provided invitation to apply (ITA) from Government of Canada. Then, you will be able to apply for Canada PR. You will have 60 days to submit online application for Canadian PR. Your PR Application will be processed within six months or less.
